Veteran Japanese noise-rock ensemble Melt-Banana have unveiled plans for a cross-country tour throughout September, marketed as the "Slingshot Tour 2026." Beginning in Sacramento on the West Coast, the expedition travels eastward across the country before circling back westward, concluding in San Francisco at month's end. The routing reflects a deliberate geographic strategy rather than a linear path.

The tour encompasses 15 venues across major metropolitan areas including Denver, Atlanta, Brooklyn, Cleveland, Phoenix, and Los Angeles. In addition to club dates, Melt-Banana will perform at two significant music festivals during the tour window: Levitation Fest in Austin on September 11th and Riot Fest in Chicago on September 19th. This tour cycle supports the band's latest album "3+5," released in 2024, which represents their ninth studio album and their first new full-length recording following an 11-year hiatus from the studio.
