We’ll Finally See The Witcher 3’s New Expansion Next Month
CD Projekt Red will reveal The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Songs of the Past at Gamescom Opening Night Live on 23 August. The announcement matters because it marks a major new expansion for a game first released 12 years ago, returning players to Geralt of Rivia.
The expansion is being co-developed with Fool’s Theory, whose team includes several developers who worked on The Witcher 3, and will also be shown through guided presentations at Gamescom. It is due in 2027 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S; CD Projekt Red says it will not support or test the expansion on Windows 10.
