Lego just unveiled a 1,500-piece X-Files set, complete with Mulder, Scully and a grey alien
Lego has revealed a new 1,500-piece set based on the 1990s sci-fi series The X-Files, aimed at fans of the cult television show. The set was designed by a fan through Lego's Ideas submission programme and features detailed recreations of the show's iconic settings, reflecting the toy company's growing interest in licensing smaller, nostalgia-driven properties alongside blockbuster franchises like Star Wars.
The set recreates FBI agent Fox Mulder's office and a forest scene complete with a hovering UFO, and includes eight minifigures: Mulder, Dana Scully, Walter Skinner, Mr. X, Alex Krycek, the cigarette-smoking man, monster character The Flukeman, and a grey alien. Buyers who purchase the £/$200 set in its first week can also get a free bonus set recreating Scully's lab, and actress Gillian Anderson has recorded an unboxing video to promote the launch. The set goes on sale to Lego Insiders members on 1 August and to the general public on 4 August.
