Meta has added Xbox Game Pass's starter edition to its Meta Horizon+ subscription at no extra cost, giving Quest VR headset owners access to a library of Xbox titles. The move extends Xbox's cloud gaming reach into virtual reality and follows a similar pattern of Xbox partnering with other platforms, such as Discord, to distribute the same starter tier of Game Pass.

The starter edition includes more than 50 games, such as Fallout 4, Fallout 76, Grounded, Overcooked 2, DayZ, Deep Rock Galactic and SnowRunner, along with 10 hours of monthly cloud gaming and unlimited downloads to PC or Xbox console. It supports cloud saves across devices, online multiplayer on cloud and PC, and streaming of games players already own, with virtual display options on Quest headsets scaling up to 26 feet and a dedicated Xbox-themed immersive space. Meta also plans to let Quest Touch controllers emulate an Xbox gamepad in the coming weeks, building on the existing Game Pass Ultimate streaming support that Quest headsets have had for several years.
