Lionsgate has released a new anniversary poster for "La La Land" that alters Ryan Gosling's hand position, resolving a decade-long gripe the actor has repeatedly voiced about the film's original artwork. Gosling had said he chose to flatten his hand during the dance scene with Emma Stone against advice at the time, and later admitted he regretted the decision, calling the pose "La La Hand" and saying it "killed the energy" of the shot.

The updated poster, released for the film's 10th anniversary, restores the hands-up pose Gosling now says would have looked better. To mark the milestone, "La La Land" is returning to cinemas from Sunday 16 August, screening in Dolby Cinema at AMC Theatres, alongside a new anniversary trailer. The 2016 musical won six Oscars and a record seven Golden Globes, and grossed $447 million worldwide against a $30 million budget; a Broadway musical adaptation is also in development, though no date has been set.
