Rapper Xzibit has responded to a wave of fan curiosity after revealing that his cat, Thunder Cat, has lived for more than 20 years, posting a follow-up video explaining how he has kept her healthy for so long. The former "Pimp My Ride" host said the outpouring of interest surprised him, but stressed that consistent care and attention to her medical needs have been key to her longevity.

Xzibit explained that Thunder Cat mostly eats dry food, with occasional treats when she behaves well, and credited doctors for putting her on an IV fluid regimen to manage previous kidney and thyroid problems. He said fans have sent gifts over the years, including a sweater printed with her face and various paintings, and he has since set up a dedicated Instagram account for her that has attracted more than 25,000 followers. Separately, Xzibit released his last album, "Kingmaker", last year and teamed up with D-12 and Ice-T on the single "Nightmare Walking" in May.
