The developers behind BALL x PIT have announced that a further free update, dubbed the Naturalist Update, is on its way "soon" and will be the roguelite's "final free update". Although no further free content is planned after this, the studio has left the door open for future paid updates and DLC, meaning support for the game will continue in some form.

The teaser announcement simply promises "even more balls" without giving a release date or further specifics, with more details said to be coming soon. BALL x PIT, developed by Kenny Sun Studios, launched in 2025 to a positive reception and also received a free upgrade pack for Nintendo Switch 2. Nintendo Life will provide further coverage once more information about the update is revealed.
