He made the comments during an appearance on Fox News's "Hangout with Hannity", where he framed looksmaxxing as being about more than simply improving one's chances in dating.

Looksmaxxing refers to an online trend, largely popular among young men, that involves adopting routines and sometimes cosmetic interventions aimed at maximising physical attractiveness. Clavicular rejected any association with "incel culture" – an online subculture predominantly made up of young heterosexual men who describe themselves as involuntarily celibate – insisting his message is broader than dating outcomes and that friction between men and women cannot be blamed on one side alone.
