Spiritbox singer Courtney LaPlante halted a concert in Phoenix, Arizona, to have an allegedly violent fan removed, telling the crowd the show would not continue until everyone's safety was assured. The incident, captured on video that has since spread online, highlights the band's willingness to prioritise fan safety over the performance, and follows a growing trend of artists publicly intervening when they spot aggressive behaviour in the crowd.

The Canadian metalcore band were playing the Talking Stick Resort Amphitheatre on Wednesday 15 July when LaPlante stopped the set before launching into their 2025 single "Soft Spine". She said drummer Zev Rose had spotted someone from his elevated position on the drum riser hurting other fans, and asked the audience to identify the person responsible, saying the show could not go on until the individual was pointed out and removed.
