Samsung has opened preorders for its latest foldable phones – the Galaxy Z Flip 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra – ahead of their official release on 7th August. The lineup marks a notable shift in strategy, as Samsung now offers two distinct book-style foldables instead of a single Fold model: the productivity-focused Fold 8 Ultra and a shorter, wider Fold 8 aimed more at entertainment, alongside a slightly slimmer and lighter Flip 8.

Prices start at $1,199.99 for the Flip 8, $1,899.99 for the Fold 8, and $2,099.99 for the Fold 8 Ultra, with retailers offering incentives including up to $350 in gift cards from Amazon and $200 from Best Buy, plus Samsung's own credit offers. All three devices run on Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy chip with Android 17 and One UI 9, adding AI features such as Gemini Intelligence task automation. The Fold 8 Ultra, Samsung's top-tier model, gains a larger 5,000mAh battery, faster charging, up to 16GB of RAM, an upgraded 200-megapixel main camera with new 50-megapixel ultrawide sensor, and a new Flex Titanium display designed to reduce the visible crease.
