The Pokémon Center has launched a surprise, unannounced drop of trading card game products, separate from the previously trailed 30th anniversary collection. The release has triggered heavy demand, with high queue wait times and rapid stock depletion, as several of the sets involved are known to command strong resale prices, making the drop a target for bots and scalpers alongside genuine collectors.

Three products went live: a Scarlet & Violet-151 Mini Tin featuring Gengar and Omanyte (two packs, $9.99), a Mega Evolution Ascended Heroes Collection featuring Larry and Erika (two packs, $9.99), and a Poké Ball Tin (three packs, $14.99), each limited to one per household. The 151 tins sold out quickly, while the Ascended Heroes and Poké Ball items were still pending release at the time of writing. The site advises against refreshing the page repeatedly, using VPNs, or multiple devices or duplicate billing details, warning this can trigger an IP ban (error 17) or a lesser checkout error (error 15), and recommends screenshotting purchase confirmations since emails may be delayed.
