Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige has confirmed that Miles Morales will eventually be introduced into the live-action MCU, following the conclusion of Sony's animated Spider-Verse trilogy. Feige said live-action Spider-Man films have a "destiny" to bring in Miles once the Spider-Verse series wraps up, giving the clearest signal yet that Tom Holland's Peter Parker will not remain the MCU's sole Spider-Man indefinitely. The comments matter because Miles, despite never having appeared in live-action, has become hugely popular among younger fans through the animated films and Insomniac's video games, arguably rivalling Peter Parker's profile.

The confirmation comes as Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Holland's first solo outing in five years, approaches release as a direct follow-up to No Way Home, alongside the well-received Nicolas Cage series Spider-Noir. Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, billed as the final instalment in the animated franchise, is due in cinemas on 18 June 2027, with Feige's remarks suggesting a live-action Miles Morales project could follow after that and after the MCU's Secret Wars, expected later in 2027.
