Kacey Musgraves Heads South of the Border for ‘Mexico Honey’ Video
Kacey Musgraves has released a music video for "Mexico Honey," a track from her sixth studio album, Middle of Nowhere, shot on location in Mexico. Directed by Running Bear (Alexa Stone and Stephen Kinigopoulos), the cinematic video is described as a tribute both to Mexico and to the experiences that inspired the song, and comes as Musgraves continues to promote the record following its release in April.
The video follows a love story through a neon-lit bar, nighttime streets and a jungle scene in which Musgraves appears fully nude holding a snake in a river. Middle of Nowhere features collaborations with Willie Nelson, Miranda Lambert, Billy Strings and Gregory Alan Isakov, and takes its name from a sign in Golden, Texas, near where Musgraves grew up. She will support the album with a North American arena tour beginning on 21 August in Chicago and running through October, and will receive the ACM Spirit Award in Nashville on 19 August.
