Supergirl Officially Returns With New Sci-Fi Epic in 2 Months

Collider · 3 hours ago

DC and Penguin Random House Audio have announced that Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow will be released as a full-cast audiobook on 1 September 2026, marking another adaptation of the acclaimed comic that also inspired the recent Supergirl film. Rather than a traditional narrated audiobook, the production will function more like an audio drama, featuring a full voice cast, original music and sound effects, giving fans a fresh way to experience the story that arrives roughly two months from the announcement.

The release will cover all eight issues of the original series, written by Tom King and illustrated by Bilquis Evely. Marcella Lentz-Pope voices Supergirl, with Amelia Tyler playing the older Ruthye and serving as narrator, while Lim Shi-An voices the younger Ruthye. Jon Bailey takes on dual roles as Krem and Krypto, with the supporting cast including Marc Thompson as Zor-El, Ellen Adair as Alura and Tan Kheng Hua as Ruthye's mother. The format follows a wider trend of star-studded, full-cast audio adaptations, echoing the success of Audible's Harry Potter series.
