Australian singer-songwriter Budjerah is set to release his debut full-length album, "Gentleman," on 24 July, marking the culmination of a project that has been in the works for nearly four years. The 24-year-old, best known for his 2021 ARIA Award win and his collaboration with Ed Sheeran on "2step," told Billboard the long wait ultimately felt worthwhile, saying "it all turned out how it was supposed to."

The 11-track record, released through Warner Music Australia in partnership with Warner Records in the US, is led by singles including "Even At Worst," "Could I Be," "Want You Back" and the title track. It was produced by Om'Mas Keith, known for his work with Frank Ocean and Jay-Z, and features songwriting contributions from Diane Warren, Autumn Rowe, Kizzo Keaz and Philip Lawrence. Raised singing gospel music from Fingal Head in northern New South Wales, Budjerah cites Stevie Wonder and gospel traditions as the foundation of his musical style, and has also partnered with hat-maker Akubra to mark the album's release.
