2K has officially revealed NBA 2K27, confirming a worldwide release date and outlining the different editions and cover stars available ahead of launch. The announcement gives fans the essential details needed to decide which edition to pre-order, though full gameplay information has yet to be shared and is expected closer to release.

The game launches on PC and consoles on 4 September 2026, with Deluxe and Ultra edition buyers gaining early access from 29 August (28 August in the US). Three editions are on offer: Standard (base game plus 10,000 VC), Deluxe (100,000 VC, up to seven days' early access and various boosts and packs), and Ultra (135,000 VC, season passes, guaranteed player upgrades and exclusive cosmetics). Each edition has its own cover star, spanning men's and women's basketball: Victor Wembanyama for Standard, Caitlin Clark for Deluxe, and Derrick Rose for Ultra. Players who owned NBA 2K26 will also receive a loyalty discount on their purchase.
