The Sarajevo Film Festival has released full details of its competition lineups ahead of its 32nd edition, running from 14 to 21 August 2026, confirming 21 world premieres, six international premieres, one European premiere and 23 regional premieres across four sections. As the leading festival for South-East European cinema, its selections serve as a key barometer of the region's filmmaking output, with the newly detailed narrative feature line-up highlighting a strong showing from women directors.

The narrative feature film section comprises nine titles from South-East Europe, including one world premiere ("Everything That's Wrong With You" by Urša Menart), one international premiere ("Small Things" by Zvonimir Jurić), one European premiere ("Skateboarding Is Not for Girls" by Dina Duma) and six regional premieres, among them "17" by Kosara Mitić. Programmer Elma Tataragić said the selection is dominated by second and third features, alongside one debut and two fifth features, and noted that six of the nine films are directed by women, spanning family dramas, coming-of-age stories, social realism and formally adventurous work.
