Indie game contest tasks devs with fitting their entire game on to a 1.44 MB floppy disk

PC Gamer · 4 hours ago

A Korean indie game site, 2P Game Arcade, is hosting a development contest that challenges creators to design fully functional games constrained to 1.44 megabytes after decompression. Participants must submit original works created after 26 May as standalone executables, with browser-based games ineligible, and submissions close on 4 September.

The contest emphasises simplicity in both its rules and evaluation criteria, which focus solely on whether entries are complete and respect the file-size limit. The winner receives 720,000 won (approximately $490), described by organisers as a modest prize, substantially smaller than recent comparable gaming contests.
