Engadget has reviewed GoPro's first Wireless Mic System, a two-microphone wireless audio kit launched in 2026 that connects directly to GoPro cameras without needing a separate receiver. The reviewer, who has followed GoPro's evolution as a vlogging tool since the HD Hero 2, gives the product a score of 7.8 out of 10, praising its compact design, versatile connectivity and sound quality, while noting some usability quirks and a premium price hold it back from top marks.

The reviewed bundle costs $159 and includes two transmitters and two receivers, one with 3.5mm and headphone connectivity for DSLR and mirrorless cameras, and a smaller USB-C receiver for phones and PCs; cheaper USB-only ($80) and line transmitter ($50) kits are also sold separately.
