Timo Hoffmann named Head of A&R, Germany at Frontiers Label Group

Music Business Worldwide · 4 hours ago

Frontiers Label Group has appointed Timo Hoffmann as Head of A&R, Germany, tasking him with expanding the Italian rock and metal label's presence in the country and strengthening relationships with both established and emerging artists. Hoffmann brings more than two decades of industry experience, having moved from music journalism into PR, catalogue management and A&R roles at AFM Records and later Atomic Fire Records/Reigning Phoenix Music, working with acts such as Doro, U.D.O., Danzig, Thundermother, Orden Ogan and D-A-D.

The appointment, announced on 22 July, comes as Germany's recorded music market grew 2.3% year-on-year to €2.42 billion in 2025, according to BVMI figures, with streaming revenue up 4.1% to €2 billion, though growth slowed from 7.2% the previous year. Frontiers founder Serafino Perugino said Hoffmann's industry knowledge and talent-spotting track record made him the right person to lead A&R in what he called one of the label's most important markets. The hire follows a series of recent moves at Frontiers, including June promotions for Leo Nicholas, Aldo Lonobile and Martina Palermo, and the July appointment of Nils Wasko as Head of International Label.
