PSA: Splatoon Raiders’ Tank Limiter Not Working? You May Be Pressing The Button Wrong

Nintendo Life · 5 hours ago

Nintendo has issued guidance for players struggling with the newly released Splatoon Raiders after reports emerged that the game's "Tank Limiter" skill point system appeared broken. The developer confirmed via its Community Support account that this is not a bug, but a common input error, meaning affected players can resolve the issue themselves without needing a patch.

The Tank Limiter acts as a level cap preventing players from investing too many Skill Points into a single ability at once, and it can be released to allow further upgrades. Nintendo clarified that many players were simply pressing the 'A' button on the relevant menu instead of holding it down, the correct input needed to fill a purple ring and lift the cap. Splatoon Raiders launched today and was well received by Nintendo Life, which awarded it 9/10 in its review.

  • Splatoon Raiders' Tank Limiter isn't broken, players are using it wrong.
  • Nintendo says hold, don't tap, the 'A' button to release the level cap.
  • The game launched today and scored 9/10 in Nintendo Life's review.
