Myers suffers from intimal sarcoma, a rare and aggressive cancer affecting major blood vessels such as the pulmonary artery, heart or aorta. In social media posts, he revealed he had chemotherapy and a lung biopsy in the same week he resumed touring, joking that doctors "didn't tell me I couldn't sang" while acknowledging he expected to cough up blood afterwards, which he said duly happened.
