Variety and CNN have unveiled an expanded content partnership that will see the two organisations develop, produce and distribute exclusive programming throughout the forthcoming awards season, covering ceremonies from the Emmys to the Golden Globes to the Oscars. The deal builds on what both sides describe as a successful prior collaboration and reflects a broader trend of media brands pooling resources to produce premium longform entertainment coverage that reaches audiences beyond traditional broadcast.

The partnership follows two well-received seasons of "Actors on Actors" and a town hall event featuring Timothée Chalamet and Matthew McConaughey, alongside "CNN & Variety Red Carpet Live" coverage of this year's 98th Academy Awards. Last week, "Variety and CNN Actors on Actors" received a Daytime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Arts and Popular Culture Program. Executives from both companies, including CNN's Amy Entelis and Variety's Ramin Setoodeh, said the collaboration would continue to produce high-impact programming and cultural moments, with content available to stream via cnn.com/watch or the CNN app for subscribers.
