Nick Apostolides, the voice actor for Leon Kennedy in recent Resident Evil games, has said that music helped shape his performances of the character. His choices offer an insight into how he distinguished Leon’s changing personality across the remakes and the newer Resident Evil Requiem.

For the younger Leon in Resident Evil 2, Apostolides drew on Nirvana’s grunge energy. He cited Alice in Chains, particularly “Them Bones” and “Would?”, as a major influence on Resident Evil 4, while heavier Metallica music informed his approach to Requiem; he named “Orion” as his favourite song.
