To mark what would have been John Prine's 80th birthday and the 30th anniversary of his album Lost Dogs & Mixed Blessings, Oh Boy Records is releasing a new archival collection of previously unheard recordings called Found Dogs on 9 October 2026. The release forms part of a wider year-long celebration of the late folk singer-songwriter's life and work by his family and label.

The 10-track collection, first issued as a limited 2,000-copy vinyl pressing for Record Store Day in April, features acoustic solo performances, alternate takes and several unreleased Prine originals, including "World Without Love", "Hey Ah Nothin'" and "Dogs in Burlington". It follows the spring release of the first official complete live concert recording, Prine: Live at Old Town School of Folk, and precedes the Souvenirs: 80 Years of John Prine tribute concert at Chicago Theatre on 8 October, hosted by John C. Reilly and featuring artists such as Margo Price, Steve Earle and Joy Oladokun.
