German-Brazilian musician and visual artist Gloria de Oliveira has announced her new album 'The Lying Swans', due for release on 30th October via La Double Vie. The record was made with producer Randall Dunn during recording sessions across Iceland, New York and Berlin, and follows her 2022 Sacred Bones release 'Oceans Of Time', made with David Lynch's longtime sound designer Dean Hurley.

The nine-track album draws on Giallo film scores, Bossa nova and left-field sounds, weaving in the Greek myth of Leda to create what is described as an oneiric (dreamlike) cycle. Alongside the announcement, de Oliveira has released the first single, 'Fading Faces', recorded in Iceland and described by the artist as the song that sparked the whole project, requiring a new degree of personal vulnerability. The tracklist also includes songs such as 'Sacred Hearts', 'The Voyager' and 'Cranes in Flight'.
