Deadline · 5 hours ago

Artists Equity has joined Hidden Content, UltraBoom Media and Robert Pattinson’s Icki Eneo Arlo to produce *Shot in the Dark*, a documentary about the first US Paralympic blind football team. The film will follow the squad from its formation in 2022 through its bid to win gold at the 2028 Paralympic Games, highlighting both elite competition and the athletes’ lives beyond the pitch.

Co-directed by Jay Shapiro and Adam Donald, the production has filmed the team since its initial trials in late 2022, with support from the United States Association of Blind Athletes. Blind football is played five-a-side by four blind players and a sighted goalkeeper, with a rattling ball and verbal guidance helping players navigate the match; the documentary will cover training camps, international tournaments and personal challenges.
