How to play in third-person in Halo Campaign Evolved
Halo: Campaign Evolved includes a third-person camera mode, despite the original Halo: Combat Evolved being exclusively first-person. The option is not available in the settings; players must unlock it by finding the Perspective skull, making it an optional feature tied to exploration.
The Perspective skull is located in the first mission, “Pillar of Autumn”. After meeting Captain Keyes on the bridge and regaining control, players should return to the bridge, drop into the ladder pit beneath the two marines behind him, and collect the skull; they can then save and exit to enable third-person mode. The remake contains 42 skulls in total, including three per level and three unlocked automatically after finding the first two.
- Third-person mode requires the Perspective skull.
- The skull is found in the first mission.
- Save and exit after collecting it to enable the mode.
