U2 and Dutch DJ Martin Garrix have officially released their new collaborative single, “Fireflies”, after Garrix premiered it at Tomorrowland on 17 July with The Edge joining him on guitar. The track combines U2’s anthemic guitar sound and Bono’s lyrics with Garrix’s dance-pop production, marking the first time all four U2 members have worked directly with the DJ.

The release comes ahead of a new U2 album due later in 2026, whose lead single “Street of Dreams” arrived in early July. Garrix previously produced “Scars” from U2’s April EP Easter Lily, and worked with Bono and The Edge on “We Are The People”, the UEFA European Championship theme released in 2019.
