Boox has previewed the Picco, a very small e-reader with a 3.97-inch monochrome e-paper display designed to fit easily in a pocket. The announcement signals growing interest in compact e-readers, offering a more portable alternative to larger devices while retaining core reading features.

The Picco will include front lighting and a microSD card slot; even an 8GB card could hold roughly 2,000 to 8,000 digital books. Boox has not yet disclosed its weight, dimensions, battery life, price or release date, but says further details are coming and describes the price as accessible; the comparable Xteink X4 Pro costs $100.
