It’s Officially the End of an Era for One Major ‘Ghosts’ Rule

Collider · 3 hours ago

CBS’s Ghosts will alter its long-standing “ghosts boundary” rule during its sixth season, potentially changing how the characters can move and interact. The change is among several developments planned as the sitcom approaches its 100th episode, intended to refresh its established dynamics.

The season will begin with two-part Halloween and Christmas specials before its midseason return, with the Halloween episodes introducing Hetty’s sister Margaret and exploring their troubled history. The Christmas story will parody Die Hard through another possession plot, while a later 100th-episode celebration will feature filming of the ghosts’ favourite reality programme at Woodstone; the show also expects to reveal how Sasappis died. Ben Feldman, previously a recurring guest, has been promoted to series regular, giving the ghosts another living person to engage with alongside Sam.

  • Ghosts will temporarily change its boundary rule in season six.
  • Holiday specials introduce Hetty’s sister and a Die Hard-inspired possession.
  • Season six will include the show’s 100th episode and Sasappis’ death reveal.
