The Future’s Bright in Blade Runner 2099’s Debut Trailer | Comic Con 2026
Prime Video has unveiled the first trailer for *Blade Runner 2099* at San Diego Comic-Con 2026 and confirmed that the eight-episode series will launch on 25 November 2026. Set 50 years after *Blade Runner 2049*, it depicts a Los Angeles where replicants have won an uprising and humans have become second-class citizens, extending the franchise’s themes of identity, power and social inequality.
Hunter Schafer plays Cora, a human fugitive posing as a Blade Runner, who teams up with Michelle Yeoh’s dying replicant Blade Runner, Olwen, to find a runaway replicant whose secret could destabilise the city. The trailer retains the franchise’s cyberpunk imagery of towering adverts, neon and flying vehicles, but presents a sunnier cityscape than earlier films; Ridley Scott is an executive producer alongside showrunner Silka Luisa.
