House Democrats are investigating StubHub chief executive Eric Baker over concerns that his separate ticket-broking company, Andro Capital, may have received preferential treatment on StubHub’s resale platform. The inquiry matters because lawmakers believe the arrangement could have inflated ticket prices, disadvantaged smaller sellers and harmed consumers in an already contentious secondary-ticketing market.

Baker is co-owner and managing director of Andro Capital, which lists and resells tickets through StubHub; the relationship was disclosed before StubHub’s 2025 IPO but drew renewed attention after a CBC investigation. Representative Robert Garcia has requested details of Andro’s listing, pricing and fulfilment practices and any differences from services offered to other resellers, with documents due by 6 August. StubHub said Andro is a separate vendor, accounts for only a small share of revenue, and that Baker’s investment had been publicly disclosed; the allegations have also prompted a class-action lawsuit.
