Karol G has released the new song “Matadora” as she began her Viajando Por El Mundo Tropitour in Chicago. The release signals a possible new musical phase following her 2025 album Tropicoqueta and coincides with a tour that marks a significant milestone for Latin pop representation in major stadium venues.

She teased the track with a video promising its release if it received one million comments, featuring blue lighting and dancers in neon-pink bikinis displaying lyric-related words. The tour comprises 39 stadium dates across North and South America and Europe, and is expected to make Karol G the first Latina artist to headline European stadiums on a global tour; she has also said she has been writing and rehearsing new music since November.
