NME · 4 hours ago

Jack White invited The Black Crowes singer Chris Robinson on stage during his Chicago show to perform Free’s 1969 song ‘I’m A Mover’. The surprise collaboration gave Robinson the lead vocal role while White concentrated on guitar, adding a notable guest moment to White’s current North American tour supporting his new album, ‘Frozen Charlotte’.

The performance at Radius on 23 July was reportedly the first public rendition of the song by either musician. White also covered Robert Johnson’s ‘Phonograph Blues’ and played White Stripes songs including ‘Icky Thump’ and ‘Seven Nation Army’; his tour reaches the UK and Ireland in August, with two London dates on 25 and 26 August.
