Sega president Shuji Utsumi says the company sees digital releases as central to its future for full games on both consoles and PC, while recognising growing PC audiences. Utsumi said PC gaming is increasing, particularly in regions where consoles are less accessible but computers are widely available. He noted that Japan retains a strong physical-media culture, yet Sega believes strengthening digital products is necessary for global growth; the company is therefore considering how to balance physical releases with a broader shift to digital distribution.
