Amazon Prime Video has released a new teaser trailer for "Carrie," its television adaptation of Stephen King's classic horror novel, and confirmed that all eight episodes will premiere on 7 October. The series reimagines the story of Carrie White, an isolated teenager who navigates public high school, a bullying scandal and the discovery of her telekinetic powers following her father's sudden death. It marks the latest screen version of King's enduring tale, which previously spawned an Oscar-nominated 1976 film, a 1999 sequel, a 2002 TV movie and a 2013 remake.

Summer H. Howell stars as Carrie White, alongside Siena Agudong as Sue Snell, Matthew Lillard as Principal Grayle and Samantha Sloyan as Margaret White, among other cast members. Mike Flanagan, known for horror projects including "The Haunting of Hill House" and "Midnight Mass," serves as writer, director, showrunner and executive producer, with Trevor Macy also producing for Amazon MGM Studios. The project was first reported in development in October 2024 and officially greenlit by Amazon in April 2025.
