Lucy Dacus brought Brandon Flowers of The Killers on stage during her set at Newport Folk Festival in Rhode Island on Friday 24 July 2026, performing a stripped-back cover of Jim Croce's 1972 ballad "Time In A Bottle". The moment marked a further collaboration between the pair, following Dacus's appearance with The Killers for "Read My Mind" at Osheaga Festival in Montreal last August, and comes as Dacus continues promoting her fourth album "Forever Is A Feeling".

Flowers was one of several surprise guests during Dacus's set, alongside Hayley Williams for "Bullseye" and Madi Diaz for "Heavy Metal"; Dacus had earlier guested during Williams's own set at the festival. "Time In A Bottle" was recorded by Dacus for the expanded edition of "Forever Is A Feeling", released in March 2025. Flowers is preparing his third solo album, "Thrasher", out on 21 August via Island Records, ahead of a UK, Ireland and North American tour later this year.
