Xenoblade Chronicles 2 – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition Estimated File Size Revealed
Nintendo has disclosed the storage footprint for the upcoming Switch 2 remaster of Xenoblade Chronicles 2, revealing an estimated 45.8 gigabytes—a considerable jump from the original Switch release's 13.2 gigabytes. The larger requirement reflects the technical demands of the enhanced console generation, consistent with other series entries on Switch 2, which range from 33.7 to 42.5 gigabytes.
The Switch 2 Edition launches digitally on 30 July 2026 and physically on 1 October 2026, offering existing owners an upgrade pathway rather than requiring a full repurchase. Along with performance enhancements—60 frames per second and 4K resolution in television mode—the edition includes new outfit designs, an additional gameplay mode, and a rare blade character, positioning it as a comprehensive re-release for the upgraded hardware.
