Kacey Musgraves Cancels 3 Tour Stops Without Explanation

American Songwriter · 3 hours ago

Country singer Kacey Musgraves has cancelled three dates on her upcoming Middle of Nowhere Tour without giving fans a reason. The cancelled shows were the Chicago opening night on 20 August, a Boston concert on 29 August and a Brooklyn date on 2 September, with ticket-holders simply informed by Ticketmaster via email rather than by the artist herself.

The tour will now open in Chicago on 21 August instead, before Musgraves plays Toronto, Boston and two nights in New York, followed by dates in Philadelphia, Nashville, Austin and other cities, wrapping up with two Seattle shows in October. The trek supports her latest album, Middle of Nowhere, released in May and largely written during the longest single period she had spent unattached, which she has said helped her embrace being alone. Musgraves has not publicly commented on the cancellations.

  • Musgraves scrapped three Middle of Nowhere Tour dates unexplained
  • Chicago, Boston and Brooklyn shows cut; tour now opens 21 August
  • Fans learned via a Ticketmaster email, not from Musgraves herself
