Greta Van Fleet will release a new single, "Saw You Stand", on 31 July 2026, alongside a rare intimate show that same night at Chicago's Metro venue. It follows the band's recent single "Play Your Games" and a sold-out underplay gig at New York's Bowery Ballroom, marking the Detroit-born, Nashville-based rockers' return after a live hiatus dating back to September 2024.

"Play Your Games", the band's first new music since 2023, was recorded in Tennessee with producer Mike Elizondo (Fiona Apple, Turnstile, Sheryl Crow) and drew on one of the band's earliest demos. In the interim, members pursued side projects: Sam Kiszka and Danny Wagner played on Langhorne Slim's 2026 album "The Dreamin' Kind", Jake Kiszka appeared in the Bruce Springsteen biopic "Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere", and his band Mirador released a new EP. The group's last full album was 2023's "Starcatcher".
