Tom Holland has admitted that he has previously had to promote films he privately felt were poor quality, telling listeners he once thought "you shouldn't" watch a movie he was doing press for because it was "shit". Speaking on the Dish Podcast on 22 July, the actor said the experience contrasts sharply with his current press tour, which he is enjoying because he is genuinely proud of the films involved.

Holland is currently promoting two summer releases, "The Odyssey" and "Spider-Man: Brand New Day", both of which he says he believes in, calling the process "a bit of a victory lap". He also praised his "Odyssey" co-star Anne Hathaway, saying he had learned a great deal about handling press by working alongside her over three days, describing her as "such a pro".
