Tiny Habits face “the emotional aftermath of an intense breakup” on intimate new single ‘Belt Loop’

NME · 3 hours ago

Boston trio Tiny Habits have released a new single, 'Belt Loop', which explores the vulnerable emotions of becoming intimate with someone new following an intense breakup. It is the third track shared from their upcoming second album 'Keepers', marking a shift towards a more soulful, R&B-influenced and "grown-up" sound as the band move beyond being seen as merely "cute" or "pretty".

'Keepers' is due for release on 28 August via Mom+Pop Music, following earlier singles 'Right In Front Of Me' and 'Anything He Was' (a collaboration with The 1975's Matty Healy). The album, written in Los Angeles and New York with producer Benjamin Millman, follows the band's 2024 debut 'All For Something' and the trio's rise from harmony-led cover videos made while studying at Berklee College of Music. Tiny Habits – Cinya Khan, Judah Mayowa and Maya Rae – recently played Newport Folk Festival, will perform a sold-out show at London's St Pancras Old Church on 7 August, and are set to appear at All Things Go Festival before launching their biggest North American headline tour in Dallas on 11 November.
