South Korean sci-fi thriller "Hope", directed by Na Hong-Jin, remained the dominant force at the South Korean box office over the weekend of 24–26 July, extending its run atop the charts as overall market takings cooled. The film's continued strength underscores its status as a major local tentpole, boasting an ensemble cast that includes Hwang Jung-min, Zo In-sung, Jung Ho-yeon, Michael Fassbender and Alicia Vikander, in a story about residents of an isolated harbour town confronting a mysterious alien presence.

According to KOBIS data from the Korean Film Council, "Hope" earned $5.5 million from 767,366 admissions across the three-day weekend, claiming a 66.8% share of total box office revenue and pushing its cumulative gross to $25.3 million from over 3.4 million viewers. It was followed by "Minions & Monsters" in second place with $793,103, Disney's "Moana" in third with $593,187, "Toy Story 5" in fourth nearing a $20 million local total, and faith-based animation "David" in fifth. Further down the chart, Korean thriller "The Eyes" placed sixth, Japanese anime "Dream Animals The Movie" debuted in seventh, while "Marty Supreme" and horror hit "Colony" rounded out the top nine.
