Animaginary Partners With Gersh To Rep Worldwide Rights On Michael Mankowski’s ‘Getting Lost’ Animated Series

Deadline · 1 day ago

Canadian animation studio Animaginary has partnered with the Gersh agency to handle global distribution rights for three interconnected adult animation projects created by writer-director Michael Mankowski. The lead project, an R-rated feature film called Getting Lost, features voice work from Kevin Smith, Dan Aykroyd, Russell Peters, and Kim Basinger and blends psychedelic comedy with experimental animation techniques including hand-drawn and stop-motion sequences. The feature is currently in production with completion targeted for later this year and a planned premiere at Sundance.

The representation deal also covers a companion television series titled Getting Lost: Lost Tapes, which expands the narrative through a secondary character's collection of hidden VHS recordings from past adventures, and a Bollywood-inspired animated spin-off called Not That Indian that follows a different protagonist. Both Mankowski's feature and television projects are produced by Mark A.Z. Dippé and John Schneider, with Eric Garofano serving as executive producer across all three works.
