UK rapper Nines has released a new compilation, 'Lost Tapes', gathering unreleased material despite having previously retired from music. The rapper stepped back from recording following the release of his sixth and final album, 'Quit While You're Ahead', in 2024, but has continued to revisit archived material, choosing to give some fan-favourite unreleased tracks an official release rather than let them remain unheard.

The new collection draws on material written during and after sessions for his 2020 breakthrough record 'Crabs In A Bucket', regarded as a significant moment in the development of UK rap. Reviewers note the material is of notably high quality rather than mere off-cuts, citing tracks such as 'Milan', featuring Odeal and Skrapz, as strong enough to have featured on any of his previous albums.
