Jon Stewart and Pete Davidson are reuniting for another all-star comedy benefit ahead of the 25th anniversary of the 11 September 2001 terrorist attacks. The event, "NYC Still Rising After 25 Years: A 9/11 Comedy Benefit", will be staged at Madison Square Garden and is being produced in partnership with Live Nation, with proceeds going to various 9/11 charities. It follows an inaugural version of the show held in 2021 to mark the 20th anniversary.
The one-night event takes place on Thursday 10 September, featuring sets from Aziz Ansari, Bill Burr, Dave Chappelle, Ronny Chieng, Nikki Glaser, Josh Johnson, and hosts Stewart and Davidson, with further guests to be announced. Ticket presales open on Wednesday 29 July, with general sale beginning Friday 31 July via LiveNation.com; phones and smartwatches will be banned inside the venue. Davidson's father, a firefighter, died in the 9/11 attacks, while Stewart has long campaigned for support of sick first responders and, separately, US veterans exposed to toxic burn pits.
