Gracie Abrams has scored her first No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 with her third studio album, Daughter From Hell, a milestone she greeted with astonished thanks on Instagram. The achievement marks a significant step up for the singer-songwriter, who had previously peaked at No. 52 with her 2023 debut and No. 2 with her 2024 breakout record, and confirms her growing commercial standing in pop music.

The 16-track album opened with 124,000 equivalent album units in the US in its first week, according to Luminate, and knocked Future's The Real Me from the top spot. It is led by the Hot 100 top 40 hit "Hit the Wall" and features collaborations with longtime producer Aaron Dessner, best friend Audrey Hobert and boyfriend Paul Mescal. Abrams will support the record with an arena tour beginning in December, taking in North America and Europe, while Dessner has also moved to quash online speculation that the track "Death Wish" is about Taylor Swift.
