Regina Hall has joined Dwayne Johnson in "Lizard Music," a live-action/CGI hybrid film from director Benny Safdie for Amazon MGM Studios and United Artists. The casting news matters as it adds another high-profile star, fresh off acclaim for "One Battle After Another," to an already notable ensemble that includes Theo Leber, Alicia Silverstone and Tim Heidecker, with Johnson also producing through his Seven Bucks Productions.

The film, adapted by Safdie from Daniel Pinkwater's novel, follows a boy (played by Leber) who discovers a secret broadcast of lizards making music and is led to an eccentric character called The Chicken Man, played by Johnson, and his 111-year-old chicken companion. Hall will play The Chicken Man's friend and co-worker; producers also include UA's Scott Stuber and Nick Nesbitt and Magnetic Fields Entertainment's David Koplan. Hall is currently starring in Peacock's "The Five-Star Weekend," which has become the platform's top scripted title ever, and has upcoming projects including "Judgment Day" with Will Ferrell and Netflix's "Rabbit, Rabbit" with Adam Driver.
