Michael Johnston, star of this year's breakout horror hit "Obsession," is in early talks to join "The Mummy 4," Variety has confirmed. The fourth instalment reunites Oscar winners Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz, reprising their roles as Rick and Evelyn O'Connell, alongside returning franchise favourite John Hannah; plot details remain undisclosed. Radio Silence's Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett direct from a screenplay by David Coggeshall, with Universal Pictures dating the film for wide theatrical release on 15 October 2027. Longtime producer Sean Daniel, involved in every instalment since the original 1999 film grossing $1.8 billion across the franchise, returns alongside producers William Sherak, James Vanderbilt, Paul Neinstein and Clayton Townsend, with Fraser and Jason F.
